Signs of Resistance

This project was initiated from an interest in documenting homemade signs, which I noticed broadcasting into public space from the windows of private homes. The neighborhood I was living in, Pilsen, has a long history of community activism, labor organizing, youth-led movements, and other forms of resistance. The resulting catalog archives and analyzes each piece of visual material, concluding with an index of active community groups and topics/issues.
